Ask the big brands 'Who picked my tea?'

There is nothing like a nice cup of tea... But have you ever thought about where your tea comes from?

Many popular tea blends include tea from Assam in India, where the people who picked it - most of them women - are paid poverty wages and live in appalling conditions.

The 'Big 6' British tea brands - PG Tips, Twinings, Typhoo, Yorkshire Tea, Tetley and Clipper - are well aware about this but aren't doing enough to challenge it.

We won't let them get away with this anymore. Please add your voice by asking the big brands: 'Who picked my tea?'. To make your message more powerful, please add a sentence on why this issue matters to you.

You don't need to live in the UK to do this action. This is a campaign for everyone who care about the people behind our tea. Many of the brands have a global reach and together we can call on them to take more responsibility.

**Update** Yorkshire Tea and Twinings have published lists of their suppliers in Assam. If you want to congratulate them, just email Yorkshire Tea on hello@taylorsofharrogate.co.uk and Twinings on twinings.direct@twinings.com.
